At Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Institute and Advanced Skin Therapeutics, our first priority is the health and safety of our patients and staff. In an effort to do our part in keeping the spread of COVID-19 to a minimum, while still giving our patients the care they need, Dr. Briden, Melissa and Denise are offering appointments via telemedicine! You may speak directly with your provider thru a video platform, Doxy.me. All you need is a cell phone with a camera, an ipad or your computer. If these options are not available, we can still talk to you via phone.Ā You will not need to download an app – just click on the link provided in your invitation and you will be connected with your provider for a one on one consultation. It is just that easy!
Both new and established patients can book appointments that will take place by video or phone call. This will allow our non-urgent patients to speak with our board certified providers while maintaining appropriate distancing protocol.
How Do I Book an Appointment?
To set up an appointment, please give us a call at 952-915-6000 ext 1 or send an email to triage.adci@gmail.com. Our staff will help you get started.
How Do I Create an Account?
Patients are not required to create an account. After you’ve booked your appointment, you just click on the link provided to you during your appointment time.Ā You will be provided with a custom URL through ADCI that will walk you through the virtual check-in process, after which you willĀ meet with your provider. Your consultation will be safe and secure.
What is the Additional Cost?
Your insurance will be charged for the visit and due to the COVID crisis, your insurance should cover the visit. Doxy.Me is a free-to-use platform, so there will not be any additional charges for telemedicine. Please check with your insurance for coverage.
Is Doxy.Me Safe?
Privacy is always a high concern for both patients and doctors. Rest assured that the Doxy.Me platform is fully HIPAA compliant. All data is encrypted, sessions are anonymous, and no information is stored. Once your appointment is over, there is no way for any outside party, including the platform itself, to access information about you or your health. Your visit is documented and put into your electronic medical record so it will be available for you.
What If I Have a Concern That Requires Immediate Attention?
ADCI will continue seeing patients for emergency or essential procedures in our office during this time of the stay at home order. Medical care is considered essential and we will be open every day for addressing your skin care needs.Ā All cosmetic and elective procedures are postponed by order of the governor until it is determined to be safe for patients and staff to return. For those of you that need to be seen for essential medical care, ADCI offers a safe and sterile environment, using the highest grade medical disinfectants to thoroughly disinfect the clinic after every patient encounter.
While we sincerely wish that we could see our patients in person, we are grateful for the resources available to us that allow ADCI to continue working with each and every one of you. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to give us a call. Stay home, wash your hands, and know that we will be available for your skincare concerns.
Don’t forget about your regular skin care. Frequent hand washing and hand sanitizer use can leave your hands dry, cracked and prone to infection. Apply a good moisturizer after every hand washing. AST is open for phone and online orders and offers curbside pick up or FREE shipping! Take good care of your skin and it will take good care of you!!
